Hearing Loss: questions you have ... questions you
need This book is an excellent pocket guide to all medical aspects of hearing loss. It is written in a question and answer format, which makes it very accessible to the layperson. From my personal experience, the questions that it answers are the ones that I am most frequently asked by students/people with a hearing loss. The five chapters cover:
There is a brief glossary of medical terms at the back of the book. Although this book is only 116 pages, it is very concise and covers the same amount of information as many much more wordy books, yet remains exceptionally readable. This is an excellent book for anyone with a hearing loss, and will answer many of those questions that often perplex when first diagnosed. My copy of this book is well thumbed - by both myself and students, who find it very useful indeed. |
